Program:
The goals of Wormont Dairy are to be active in the marketing of
commercial and selective registered Holstein and Jersey dairy cattle. We believe
that the development of our two dairies will allow us to accomplish this.
We are not committed to
any one segment of the registered market but have developed and invested in cow
families that cover all aspects from the show ring to providing sires to the AI
market. We plan to market 100 head of high end registered Holsteins & Jerseys
from the Eastern facility through sales held at the farm and consignments to major
sales.
Sire Selection:
An example of some of the young sires we have used
heavily are Zenith, Extra Special and Astronomical. We are currently milking

Extra Specials, 6 of them in NY.
In the Eastern division,
we are very selective in our sire selection currently using such bulls as
Durham, Outside, Linjet, Storm, Dundee, Toystory, Buckeye and Goldwyn. |
